Corebridge celebrates school leaders as official sponsor of National Gold Star School Program

As the official sponsor of the National Association of Elementary School Principals’ (NAESP) inaugural National Gold Star School Program, Corebridge joined school leaders from across the country in July to celebrate excellence in education at the association's annual conference in Orlando. At the event, Allen Thomas, Southeast Regional Vice President for Corebridge, presented awards to schools recognized for exemplary leadership, innovation and student success.

Through its relationship with NAESP, Corebridge is helping elevate elementary and middle-level schools that model the highest standards of effective school leadership, academic excellence, and inclusive learning environments.

This year, 57 schools from 29 states were honored with the National Gold Star recognition, including 47 elementary schools, five middle-level schools and five K-8 schools. National Gold Star Schools are recognized for excellence across NAESP’s Three Pillars of the Principalship:

• Established Culture: Shared values, family engagement and well-being.

• Empowered People: Collaborative teaching, distributed leadership and holistic support.

• Optimal Systems: Effective use of talent and resources, district support and strategic focus.
