Corebridge Financial partner Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), the largest school system in Georgia, has been named by PLANSPONSOR a 2026 Plan Sponsor of the Year award winner. The school district has been recognized for its innovative approach to helping employees visualize and plan for retirement.
At the center of the award is GCPS’s Projected Retirement Estimator for Planning (PREP) — a customized tool supported by Corebridge that gives employees a clear, consolidated view of their retirement benefits across state and county pensions, as well as 403(b) and 457(b) defined contribution plans. The tool delivers personalized projections based on factors such as salary, savings, investment growth and potential retirement timing, helping employees translate complexity into actionable insight.
“The PREP program brings all of our employees’ retirement benefits into one clear view,” said David Harris, Director of Retirement for Gwinnett County Public Schools. “In collaboration with Corebridge, we’re able to deliver clarity that helps our staff make informed decisions and take meaningful steps toward their financial future. It reflects our commitment to supporting our employees as strongly as we support our students.”
As the school district’s supplemental retirement plan provider, Corebridge and its financial professionals partner closely with GCPS to bring this experience directly to employees. Through on-site visits, group seminars and one-on-one sessions, the program meets educators, administrators and staff where they are. In 2025, Corebridge financial professionals held more than 8,500 one-on-one discussions with GCPS employees.
“Gwinnett County Public Schools sets a powerful example for how plan sponsors can make retirement planning more actionable for employees,” said Terri Fiedler, President of Retirement Services at Corebridge Financial. “Through its innovative use of personalized projections and strong commitment to employee education, GCPS is helping its workforce build greater confidence in their financial futures — and we’re proud to support that work.”
