Corebridge Financial has been selected as the exclusive provider for 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans serving Caroline County Public Schools, marking the next chapter in a relationship that spans more than 40 years. The selection simplifies the district’s retirement program by moving from six providers to a single-provider model designed to deliver a more streamlined and cost-effective experience for approximately 300 plan participants.
Caroline County Public Schools selected Corebridge for its deep K-12 experience, proven retirement plan consolidation track record and commitment to local, personalized retirement planning support for participants.
"Our goal was to ensure that employees have access to a modern retirement program that delivers value, simplicity and meaningful support,” said Dr. Rob Willoughby, Deputy Superintendent, Caroline County Public Schools. “We chose Corebridge because of its proven leadership in the K-12 marketplace, extensive experience helping school districts successfully consolidate retirement plans, and longstanding commitment to serving our employees. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Corebridge as we help our educators and staff prepare for their long-term financial futures."
Terri Fiedler, President of Retirement Services at Corebridge commented, “Caroline County Public Schools’ transition to a single retirement plan provider reflects a growing trend among K-12 employers seeking to modernize legacy multi-vendor retirement arrangements in favor of more efficient, less complex plan designs. We are honored to be selected as the exclusive provider for Caroline County Public Schools, continuing to serve the retirement needs of their many educators and staff who already work with Corebridge, while extending our support to all participants across the consolidated plans.”
Corebridge has served the retirement needs of educators and school staff for more than 60 years, dating back to 1964 when Corebridge implemented one of the first-ever 403(b) retirement plans in a public school. Today, Corebridge remains an industry leader in the public K-12 marketplace as a top 3 retirement plan provider by assets, continuing to innovate and help school districts across the country modernize their defined contribution plans.1
