Corebridge Financial has a long history of partnering with Junior Achievement (JA), the world's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success. Building on that strong foundation of collaborating with JA to teach work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to young people, Corebridge now proudly sponsors a “storefront” within the JA BizTown located in the new Phillips 66 | JA Discovery Center. Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas opened the experiential learning center in Houston in December 2025.
One of JA’s premiere learning experiences for elementary school students, JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a fully interactive, simulated town where students operate the economy. Each student takes on a role such as CEO, CFO, Marketing Director or Sales Manager to run their businesses, receive paychecks, make bank transactions and shop. They consider saving/spending choices, risk management and insurance strategies, and make personal, career and business-related decisions.
“We are grateful for the continued support and partnership of Corebridge Financial and its employees,” said Joe Burke, President of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. “JA’s new experiential learning center will serve hundreds of thousands of Houston area students, providing them with the competencies and skills they need to meet their futures with confidence. JA’s programming would not be possible without the generous financial support and volunteer commitments of our community.”
