Types of crediting methods
This unique strategy tracks actual S&P 500 index performance daily and automatically locks in gains when the growth target is reached. After lock-in, assets are protected against loss, but no additional gains will be earned based on index performance.
Offers a maximum percentage (cap) on the index credit you can earn. This crediting method may perform best in positive markets, but upside may be limited in extended bull markets.
Guarantees growth in flat or weak markets with a fixed return that is triggered when index performance is 0% or higher. Growth may be limited in strong up markets.
Generates growth in negative markets, if index returns do not fall below a certain level. Earnings are subject to a maximum percentage (cap) in positive markets.
Offers growth potential at the end of the strategy term when the index return is positive, flat, or in some instances, negative.
Features an index performance multiplier that can either increase or decrease the earnings credited to the account. The multiplier is set by the insurance company and is subject to change on contract anniversaries.
Works like the basic Participation and Cap crediting method but with a higher participation rate and potentially a lower Cap Rate. As a result, the Index Credit Rate on Enhanced Participation and Cap Strategy may be lower than Index Credit on the Participation and Cap Strategy. Performs best when the index is positive but below the cap.
Offers a maximum percentage (cap) on your annual earnings. This cap remains constant over the 6-year term, which may enhance or limit growth depending on market conditions.
