Portfolio Director Fixed and Variable Annuity (Portfolio Director) offers an array of investment options including the guaranteed rate of fixed options and the potential for greater return with variable options.

Variable options incur Separate Account charges and Net Fund Annual Expenses, which are subject to change.

Refer to the current Portfolio Director prospectus for more details about charges and expenses. Public funds are not available in a non-qualified account. An account maintenance fee of $3.75 per quarter might apply, depending on your contract.

The Fixed Account Plus option is one choice that could add stability to your investment mix. This option is not a variable option and therefore, Separate Account charges, account maintenance fees and Fund Annual Expenses do not apply.

Guarantees are backed by the claims paying ability of The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC).

Portfolio Director Freedom (IRA & NQDA)

3.00% for deposits made in April 2024

You may be eligible for an additional 1% for deposits over $75,000 made within 90 days of your initial deposit into Fixed Account Plus.

1% for deposits made in April 2024

1.44% (6 month) & 1.62% (12 month) for deposits made in April 2024

10 year: 1.70% for deposits made in April 2024

VALIC will pay the declared rate or your contractual guaranteed minimum interest rate, whichever is higher. The guaranteed minimum interest rate for Portfolio Director and Portfolio Director Freedom Advisor contracts issued on or after April 1, 2024 is 3.00%.

Generally, for most series of Portfolio Director, a current interest rate is declared at the beginning of each calendar monthly and is applicable to new contributions received during that month. VALIC guarantees that all contributions received during a calendar month will receive that month’s current interest rate for the remainder of the calendar year. Our practice, though not guaranteed, is to continue crediting interest at that same rate for such purchase payments for one additional calendar year. Thereafter, the amounts may be consolidated with contributions made during other periods and will be credited with interest at a rate which the Company declares annually on January 1.
